Happy Scuba Diving Memories

Created by nigel f hewitt 9 years ago
I meet Mike many, many years ago at the local Scuba Diving Club (in those days we would have called it the Sub-Aqua Club) We were both passionate about diving and we had exciting times exploring the undersea world along with the other Club divers. Mike was such fun to be with, full of energy, enthusiasm and his wonderful wit. After a while Mike purchased his own boat but he needed to tow it with something! So (and only Mike could do this) he had a tow bar fitted to his Porsche 928! He must be the only person to do that to a 928! One day we were discussing towing and how the trailer can start snaking behind the car and what to do to stop it. Mike said "well once you get to 120 mph the trailer follows nicely , I never have a problem with that!!" Mike new how to live life to the full, he was aways a perfect gentleman, helping others and was always very generous. I feel honoured and privileged to have known Mike, I will always remember his wonderful smile and laugh. Rest in Peace. Nigel Hewitt
